Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log a mood?
On the Home tab, tap the slot you want (morning, afternoon, night, or pre-sleep), pick one of the 14 mood bubbles, and optionally add a short note. The whole flow takes under 10 seconds.
Do I need an account to use Kibun?
No. Kibun is anonymous-first — you can use the entire app without creating an account, and your data stays on your device. Creating an account adds cloud sync across devices and unlocks AI Pro reports if you subscribe.
How do I start the 7-day free trial of Kibun Pro?
Open the Account tab and tap Upgrade to Pro, or visit the paywall during onboarding. Choose monthly or yearly, then confirm via Google Play. You won't be charged for the first 7 days. Cancel anytime in the Play Store under profile → Payments & subscriptions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play. On Android: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kibun Pro → Cancel subscription. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the end of your trial or current period prevents the next charge.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
Open the Account tab and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Google account that originally purchased Pro.
How do AI reports work? Is my data private?
Kibun Pro generates weekly and monthly reports that summarize your emotional patterns. Only aggregated metadata — mood labels, counts, time-of-day buckets, and your onboarding profile — is sent to a secure AI endpoint. Raw notes and journal entries are never uploaded; sentiment for notes is analysed locally on your device using a bundled ONNX model.
How do I change notification reminder times?
Open the Account tab → Notifications. Toggle each slot (morning, afternoon, night, pre-sleep) on or off. Pro subscribers can also set exact times per slot; free users get sensible defaults.
I'm not getting notifications. What should I check?
Check Android Settings → Apps → Kibun → Notifications and make sure they are allowed. Inside Kibun, open Account → Notifications and confirm at least one slot is enabled. Check Do Not Disturb and battery-saver modes. If you reinstalled recently, re-grant the notification permission.
How do I export my mood history?
Kibun Pro subscribers can export full mood history as a CSV file. Open Account → Export Data and pick a destination (email, Files, AirDrop).
How do I delete my account or data?
From inside the app: Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account or Delete My Data. You can also start the deletion flow from the web at the Delete Account page.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly plans?
Yes — both plans live in the same subscription group, so you can upgrade or downgrade any time from the Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Kibun Pro. Google Play handles the proration automatically.
Is Kibun a medical or therapy app?
No. Kibun is a wellness and self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional. In a crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline.
Which devices does Kibun support?
Kibun runs on Android phones and tablets via Google Play. An iOS version is on our roadmap.
